Prior to Johnny Flynn sharing this great Take Away-style clip of “Einstein’s Idea” today, Munich’s Hauskonzerte Sessions had somehow slipped below the radar. After a quick dive down the rabbit hole, though, it was clear they’ve caught many moments to behold in recent months. The Flynn clip — a simple, solo-acoustic run through this year’s Country Mile cut — is worth mentioning alone, but we’d be remiss not also giving this Lissie version of “They All Want You” its due. The naturalistic footage and audio of each is spot-on, but where this series fully brings it home is in the way they document performers’ respective strengths: Flynn’s charming vision of personal folk and Lissie’s skill for cutting to a tune’s core in a way that’s both intimate and expansive.
