Interesting thoughts, for sure. We're probably due to give CAPC another chance. We've been there twice and both times felt it wasn't the club for us. The first time, we found it very cliquey, like I've seen in other comments in the group. The second time, we found it friendly but were blown away when we walked upstairs and everyone was paired up with their own partner. We can do that at home and save the $60. There's no question that it's one of the nicest clubs in town in terms of the layout and ambience. It's small, but that gives a cozy feeling. I laughed at the writeup on Erato, we're regulars there, we haven't gotten our Mercedes or Porsche yet though. We'll get out to CAPC sometime in the coming months to see if it has changed from our initial impression.

Well Cgycpl69... you're absolutely right, we always tell everyone that "every party is different" and that every party/night has it's own dynamics.
Sometimes cliques are not what they seem and sometimes people that appear to have known each other, well they just met, it's just that one or more of them have mastered the techniques of couple flirting. One such time was just at our last party when we were touring a new couple and we pointed out a particular table to them with three couples that appeared to be in a clique... we told them that we just introduced those couples to each other that night... so sometimes these "cliques" are not what they seem to people just walking in. Sometimes the person walking in just makes the wrong assumption.
However... party hosts have a unique ability to cross these party clique lines and we believe it's the hosts job to introduce new and uncomfortable guests to new people which effectively breaks these groups from forming.... once one member of a groups knows another member from another group... it makes those two groups chances of inter-mingling all that much more probable and likely. For us.... we saw two groups forming last night at a house warming party we attended.... two groups (one being vanilla and scared of us)... well, our group did successfully pull two people to our dark side... it the best we could do (lol)...
