Peace To Your Mind A Poem

Peace To Your Mind Written in 20

We all have troubles
We all have stress
We all have someone
We love
Who we miss.

If only that person
Were here
Beside us.
Offering the comfort
Offering words of wisdom.
Or just listening
As we vent.
Giving us a hug
Or a soft gentle touch.

I hope your thoughts
Get some relief
When you sleep.
You get the rest
You so desperately need.
Recuperative
Restorative
For the ahead.
Your bed is the place
That offers
That oh so necessary
Soft landing.
And peace.
To your mind is given.

 This poem came up on my FB page memories. The 15th of July is the 5th anniversary of my Mother's death. This poem is what I wish for my family and friends on this day as well as myself. But anyone can relate to the sentiment in the poem.

celebrate the memories raw
from them future strength draw
of the good not the bad
of shared joy not the sad
for when a gap in life appears
when the love known disappears
know they would want you well

Thank you so much kind sir. You are one of the people I ascribe to getting me through the first anniversary of my Mother's death in 2015. We chatted for days about poetry. You distracted me. You were novel and Australian. So witty and funny. If I could I would have jumped through the computer and given you a hug or accepted one from you. You know how that is...you are a very deep person.
